Piano Teacher
A half hour lesson, one on one with student and teacher allows opportunity for the student to learn and grow musically in a relaxed home studio setting. Incorporating technique and theory into each lesson in a fun and unobtrusive manner while developing style and musicality.
Students are encouraged to work towards goals in the form of a formal examination or the completion of a graded workbook. Achievable goals are set collaboratively by student and teacher that allow the student to develop naturally while specific guidance is given to enhance technique and musical awareness.
A number one goal is to develop a love for music and a love for playing the piano. This is achieved through appropriate selection of music and songs, and by making each lesson enjoyable and tailored to each individual student.
One is never too young to learn, though it is advised that young children have a basic reading ability or natural musical talent.
One is never too old to start. There is ample opportunity for the mature age student to learn in a relaxed setting with a friendly teacher, at a rate that suits the student. Appropriate music choice will encourage a love and passion for music as ability progresses.
It is advisable to own a keyboard or piano to be able to follow through what has been taught in the lesson with practice at home.
Lesson Cost for 2024: $42 for half hour lesson.
